Ball

The PPE Society's highlights include the Christmas Dinner and the Ball. The dinner offers a festive 3-course meal with your PPE family, a cozy way to wrap up the term. The Ball, our main event at Warwick Castle, promises a magical evening with dinner, a disco, and more, complete with transport, a photographer, and an after-party. Both events are a fantastic chance to dress up and enjoy with friends.

Careers Events

The Careers department offers events for the diverse careers PPE students pursue. "Extra Edge" is our main event, targeting consulting and finance, aligned with their application seasons. We also explore careers in law and civil service through our Insights series. Additionally, we offer workshops on CVs, LinkedIn, and interviews, plus networking trips to London firms, covering a broad spectrum of industries.

Sports

Our PPE intramural 11-a-side footie team's had a fantastic year so far, playing in the Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday leagues and we're eyeing a playoff spot for Wednesday after a string of top results. We've also got a volleyball team hitting the court on Sunday mornings. Come the summer term, our cricket side will be out in the intramural league, offering a brilliant chance for those not into football to enjoy a more social sport.

Socials

The PPE Society is known for its lively socials, from bowling to gatherings, attracting 50-60 regulars and sometimes over 100 through partnerships with other societies. Our socials team has built an inclusive atmosphere, welcoming PPE and non-PPE students alike. We also host sober events like quizzes and catch-ups, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Tour

Each year we run a domestic and international tour, always delivered at the lowest cost possible! In previous years we have visited Athens, Amsterdam, Liverpool and many more. Tour is a great chance to destress before exams in term 3 and always a highlight for all of our guests. Apart from great nights out, we explore our destinations' greatest sights and stories.

Charity

While coordinating opportunities for students, PPE Society is also focused on giving back to the community. This academic year we are organising a diverse range of events such as charity raffles, circles, soup kitchens meet-ups, and even game shows in the name of NGOs like Macmillan Cancer Support and Movember UK. Therefore, we are deeply committed to create an impact through our work.

Revision Support

PPE Society is committed to providing academic support for its members. Throughout Term 3, student-led revision sessions are organised for all first-year quantitative modules, as well as some second-year modules. This is always a popular initiative as it provides some last-minute advice before exams. The society also connects tutors and tutees for specific modules and works closely wth the department to communicate any feedback on coursework and modules.
